Period Apartment Renovation in Şişli — Work in Progress

About this project
Photographs taken during our works on a period apartment in Şişli. The renovation keeps the building's character — original timber windows and doors, a ceiling rose and an arched opening into the kitchen — and builds a new interior around it.
Patterned tiles set the tone throughout: arabesque tiles in the two bathrooms, medallion tiles in a separate WC, floral tiles in the kitchen and star-pattern tiles on the balcony, behind an ornamental wrought-iron railing. The kitchen gets cream shaker-style cabinetry with arched upper doors; the bathrooms have marble floors and concealed-cistern WCs.
